Angels Center Field Options

Hey Angels fans. I just thought I would throw my 2 cents in on the Center Field situation they have. So it is said that the Angels are in search of a legitimate CF. The question is, do they go free agency, in-house, or the trade route? Free Agency doesn’t really offer a whole lot in terms of talent. Only 2 really pop out at me: Harrison Bader and Cedric Mullens. Considering the Angels are looking for more left-handed bats, Mullens would be the choice here; however, he did suffer after his trade to NYM, but he did perform poorly all season. Bader is the better player to me on both ends, but he’s another righty. In-house, the Angels have 3 options: Jo Adell, Bryce Teodosio, and Nelson Rada. Adell proved that he is not a CF; hell, he’s barely an RF. Make no mistake, he’s a solid player in Right, but I wouldn’t call him a Gold Glover. Teodosio, on the other hand, is an awesome defender, but he has to show he can hit in the Bigs. Rada is the dark horse because it’s a toss-up if he’s ready or not.

So now we’ve come to my pick of what they should do: make a trade, and I’ll even tell you how I would go about it. I’ve mentioned it in my videos, but here’s a little more detail: RHP Jack Kochanowicz to COL for OF Mickie Moniack. Mickie never should have been released. He did show that he could improve, which he did, when he got a legitimately good coach. He improved his numbers dramatically (by around 6%). He can play all OF positions and do so very well. He’s shown he can be productive at the plate and deserves a second chance. COL needs pitchers like Jack K. At his best, he showed he is a great ground ball pitcher, something they sorely need on the Rockies. I know they won’t do this, but it would work out so well for both teams, provided COL hires good coaches. There are other ideas I have, many others, but I will save those for later. Until then, Go Halos
